PAUL RICHMOND NAMED NEW MANAGING DIRECTOR FOR NIELSEN
MALAYSIA AND SINGAPORE
June 5, 2007, KUALA LUMPUR: The Nielsen Company today announced the appointment
of Paul Richmond to the position of Managing Director, The Nielsen Company for Malaysia
In his new capacity, Paul Richmond will oversee The Nielsen Company’s operations in both
countries, in close collaboration with the local management teams. Paul Richmond will
report to Farquhar Stirling, Managing Director, South East Asia, who is based in Jakarta.
Paul Richmond has over 10 years of experience in Nielsen (formerly ACNielsen) across
Asia Pacific and the United Kingdom. Before this new appointment, he was the Managing
Director of Nielsen Australia for the last two years, following a successful stint in a similar
capacity in Vietnam where he pioneered the expansion of Nielsen's retail tracking business,
and brought about a number of significant developments in the company there.
Prior to his assignment in Vietnam, Paul Richmond worked for Nielsen in Thailand and
China, following his relocation from the United Kingdom in 1997.
Paul Richmond takes over from Steve Watt, who has been appointed Regional Client
Director for P&G Asia Pacific, based in Singapore.
