NICOSIA (26 July 2005)
Leading global market research company Synovate has announced a number of senior appointments in its Central/Eastern Europe, Middle East, Africa (CEEMEA) region.

Tony Rhodes has become Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Central/Eastern Europe (CEE), based in Nicosia, Cyprus. Albert McLean was appointed as COO for Middle East/Africa (MEA), located in Johannesburg, South Africa. They will be focusing on the company's top-line growth, through key account management, client relationships, business development and marketing. Prior to these appointments, Rhodes had been Managing Director for South East Europe & North Africa, and McLean was Managing Director for Sub-Saharan Africa.

"These changes will streamline management reporting," says Dr Nicos Rossides, CEO for CEEMEA. "I am confident that our new senior management team will enable us to maintain the rapid growth we have enjoyed and contribute even more to the success of our company."

Synovate also named Andy Dalziel as Chief Financial Officer for MEA, while a CFO for CEE will be appointed in the near future.

Jon Salters has been promoted to Managing Director for Sub-Saharan Africa. He was formerly Deputy MD for that area, and will oversee Synovate's rapidly growing business in South Africa and its expansion into other parts of Sub-Saharan Africa.

Tomasz Jakubowski and Bozena Bobrowicz have been appointed Joint General Managers of Synovate Poland, responsible for client relationships and operations in that country and the Baltics. This follows the move of Michalis Michael, former managing director of Synovate in Central Europe and Russia, from Warsaw to Chicago to take up a new post as Head of Global Online and Panel Marketing & Operations.
