14th December 2007, New York, NY — BuzzBack Market Research has earned the coveted international MRS/ASC Award for Technology Effectiveness. The win was announced at the Market Research Society's annual award gala held in London on Monday night, December 10th 2007. In attendance to accept the award on behalf of BuzzBack were Martin Oxley, Managing Director Europe, and Brendan Light, Senior Vice President.
The annual MRS/ASC award acknowledges outstanding innovation and excellence in the application of software or technology to market, opinion and social research. After an extensive judging process, BuzzBack was selected from a group of four finalists. The company is being recognized for its eCollage™ and Verbatim Viewing consumer research tools.
An excerpt of what the judging panel said about BuzzBack’s entry appeared in the ceremony’s program:
“All the judges felt that eCollage and Tag Cloud Viewer is a very worthy winner. The innovation behind making an off-line qualitative technique work so successfully online is excellent and should inspire others to think outside the research box. This technology accurately represents the exciting times of our industry.”
“We are absolutely thrilled by this prestigious honor,” stated Carol Fitzgerald, BuzzBack’s President & Co-Founder, “It is especially meaningful that our international peers have rewarded us in the same year that we launched our European operations. This recognition is to be shared by the entire BuzzBack team who is dedicated to developing best-in-class research technology, and with our clients who enthusiastically innovate with us.”
BuzzBack’s eCollage and Verbatim Viewing tools are among its suite of patent-pending cutting-edge Web-based applications. eCollage was designed to tap insights to the 90% of human expression that’s non-verbal. This includes the capture of subconscious emotions and attitudes that drive consumer behavior and decision-making. Verbatim Viewer helps to navigate the rich verbatims and personal insights this tool generates.
“Since 2000, our company has been pioneering Web-based research,” Ms. Fitzgerald continued, “We are focused on combining quantitative and qualitative techniques in new ways to create leading edge tools that help our clients engage more deeply with consumers. This award fuels our drive to fulfill this mission.”
