The latest TGI data from BMRB shows that 4.8 million UK adults (15+) have moved house in the past 12 months. Almost two-thirds are aged between 15 and 34.

They are also 46% more likely than the average adult to live in Greater London. They account for more than 50% of all first-time buyers of washing machines, fridges, toasters, irons and kettles.

Recent movers are 38% more likely than the average 15 to 34- year-old to budget for every penny when doing their household shopping and are 27% more likely to tend to buy the cheapest household cleaning products.

A quarter of them are in the highest 20% of the population for outdoor media exposure and are 39% more likely than the average 15 to 34-year-old to claim to have noticed advertising on the Underground in the last week.

Recent movers are 17% more likely than the average 15 to 34- year-old to have spent ?100+ on DVDs in the past 12 months.

Almost 900,000 recent movers specially choose to watch Changing Rooms, nearly 600,000 watch House Doctor, while approaching 500,000 tune in to Home And Away.

Recent movers are 17% more likely than average 15 to 34-year olds to spend more than 30 hours a month online and are 58% more likely to visit property related websites.
