Humphrey Taylor Receives NYAAPOR Outstanding Achievement Award

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – June 10, 2008 ― Harris Interactive®, a custom market research firm, today announced that Humphrey Taylor, Chairman of The Harris Poll®, has received the Outstanding Achievement Award by the New York Chapter of the American Association for Public Opinion Research (NYAAPOR). The award is given to individuals in recognition for outstanding contributions to public opinion research.

"Humphrey Taylor is a walking encyclopedia of knowledge, and while we at Harris Interactive know his expertise provides great value to our research, it’s nice to see that others recognize that too. Congratulations, Humphrey," said Gregory Novak, president and CEO of Harris Interactive.

"Humphrey Taylor has long been a major innovator and outspoken statesmen in public opinion research both abroad and in the United States, and NYAAPOR take great pleasure in honoring him with its Outstanding Achievement Award," said Robert Shapiro, president of NYAAPOR. "On a more personal note, Humphrey has always been most encouraging and supportive of colleagues entering the fields of survey and public opinion research, and for that we are grateful."

"I am deeply honored to receive this award as it is a privilege to be acknowledged by both my peers and a respected organization such as NYAAPOR," said Humphrey Taylor.
