On Friday night Saatchi & Saatchi Malaysia capped of a stellar creative year by picking up the top award at the Kancils for the second year running. Making them the undisputed #1 ranked creative agency in the country.
While the KL agency picked up 4 gold, 22 silvers and 2 bronze awards, the criteria for the Agency of the Year award is also based on performance at the world’s top 6 award shows.
At this year’s Cannes, Saatchi & Saatchi Malaysia picked up the most Lions in the country’s history. As well as one of the biggest hauls in Asia pacific. A Gold, 2 silvers, 2 bronze Lions and a truck load of finalists.
More recently, the agency picked up 5 Pencils at Australian AWARD, once again the biggest haul in the country, as well as Silver at London International.
Malaysia/Singapore CEO John Foley told ADOI, “Of course we are delighted to pick up the Agency of the Year award, especially two years in a row. While performing on the world stage is the agency’s primary focus, it is always very important to be recognized in your own backyard.”
ECD Adrian Miller adds, “ I’m thrilled that we’ve consistently had multiple campaigns contributing to our awards success. The trick now is to keep up the momentum that we’ve built over the last two years and take things to the next level.”
Adrian has also been invited to judge at D&AD next year. He will be judging the press category.
