Mr. Karagianis will be working as Chief Information Officer and be responsible for leading several teams including: IT Applications, IT Security, and IT Infrastructure and Online Technology. He will be in charge of developing and implementing companywide technology solutions and processes and identifying IT applications to support GfK’s business initiatives.
Mr. Karagianis comes to GfK with a wealth of experience in the information technology industry. Prior to joining GfK, he spent 11 years at New Line Cinema, most recently as Chief Information Officer. During his tenure at New Line Cinema, Mr. Karagianis led a team of more than 60 IT professionals and succeeded in driving revenue growth through various initiatives. He developed and deployed a three-year strategic plan that helped save more than $1.2 million in supply and overhead costs. He also restructured the company’s user support organizations to be more nimble in adopting new technologies, policies and procedures. In addition, he led a cross functional team tasked with implementing a $5 million Oracle ERP solution — the largest IT initiative in the company’s history.

Mr. Karagianis will be based out of GfK’s Chelsea Market office in New York.
