GfK NOP Media, a leading provider of audience measurement and research for the UK media and entertainment industries, today announced the appointment of Michael Darby as Media Operations Director.
In his new role Darby will be working across all media operation teams to ensure the highest quality of support for GfK NOP Media’s client work. As well as monitoring current business processes to ensure maximum efficiency, Darby will be identifying and piloting new approaches to further enhance GfK NOP Media’s data collection and processing services.
Previously Darby was Head of Web Project Management at Kantar, where he was responsible for the integration and management of online data collection services across all the major Kantar companies, including Research International and Millward Brown.
Commenting on Darby’s appointment, Nick North, joint MD of GfK NOP Media stated,
“Michael is ideal for this position; his huge experience in supporting large international companies and bringing together the different needs and technologies into one smooth operation is going to be invaluable in further improving and developing our operational processes and platforms. He has particular expertise in developing platforms for robust online data collection, an area that we expect to become more and more in demand in the coming year.”

Darby is based in GfK NOP’s London headquarters at Blackfriars Bridge.
