Global reputation and communications research firm, Echo Research, has extended its reach into Asia with a new office in Singapore.

Managed by long-standing Echo team member and local Singaporean Michelle Allen, the Singapore office will become Echo's new Asian headquarters.

Michelle will coordinate local briefs and analyst teams to support existing client work across Asia, as well as respond to growing local interest and demand.

Particular emphasis will be placed on helping clients understand the views and impact of key stakeholder groups in order to improve competitiveness.

Said Echo Group Chief Executive, Sandra Macleod
"Echo has had a great deal of experience in conducting research in China, Japan and across all of South East Asia for many of our Western-based clients.  But with the large number of significant Asian organisations establishing themselves globally, there is also hunger locally for proven best practices in building brands and reputation through communications excellence.  As global leaders in reputation measurement, we felt the time was right to help organisations increase their professionalism and competitive advantage throughout the region,".

With offices in London, New York, Paris and Singapore, Echo has over 200 full-time employees and specialist analysts working across 35 countries in 33 languages.

Since its launch in 1989, the group has served 500 world-class clients, including corporations, government departments, not-for-profit organisations, and nation-states.

On the Register of Expert Witnesses and ISO-accredited, Echo has won a record 60 industry awards for measurement and integrated research, including 20 Gold and three prestigious Platinum awards from the Association of Measurement and Evaluation of Communication (AMEC).

Echo is a full participant in the United Nations Global Compact for business.

Michelle Allen’s appointment as Regional Manager of Echo Singapore follows five years at Echo Research.

A Singaporean national, Michelle moved to the UK in 2004 and worked across a range of Echo’s public sector and international clients such as the Health & Safety Executive, Qualifications and Curriculum Authority, British Gas, EADS, Emirates Airlines and Johnson & Johnson.

She previously held an HR position with DBS, one of Singapore’s leading  banks.  With a Diploma in Management Studies from the Singapore Institute of Management, Michelle is fluent in English and Mandarin.
