Research and recruitment specialist FreshMinds (www.freshminds.co.uk) is celebrating news that the company has broken into the Sunday Times Best Companies to Work For list for the first time.
The news comes just weeks after FreshMinds was one of only 140 companies nationwide to be awarded the coveted two star status as part of the Best Companies Accreditation.
Best Companies uses a “Michelin style” star rating system to acknowledge companies that achieve a high level of employee engagement and to recognise excellence in the workplace.
On the basis of staff feedback, new entrant FreshMinds was judged to be “outstanding”. Best Companies bases its ranking on employee feedback and uses a rigorous methodology to assess workplace performance and best practice.
Employees are asked to give confidential feedback on their company across eight areas: leadership, management, personal growth, wellbeing, team and giving something back.
In order to win its place in the Sunday Times list and two star status, FreshMinds achieved consistently high scores across the board.
In particular, the survey showed that FreshMinds has succeeded in fostering a great team spirit and the judges commended the company for the “sense of family” and caring atmosphere it has created amongst employees.
Ben Collis, Head of HR at FreshMinds said
“We’ve been hearing what a great place FreshMinds is to work in client surveys, employee surveys, staff forums and exit interviews for many years and it’s fantastic to get some official recognition for all that hard work. The Best Companies award is based entirely on staff feedback and is therefore a truly effective measure of what makes a great workplace – we’re thrilled to be counted as one of the best the UK has to offer. Ten years on, FreshMinds still has lofty ambitions, and there’s no way we could get near achieving them without such great people on board. I hope this is something they’re all proud of and take time to enjoy.”
