Market research translation specialists Language Connect have hired Maggie Little, a former Ipsos MORI Research Director, as Business Development Manager to work in its London office.

Maggie joins Language Connect with more than 12 years’ agency research experience.

She specialised in international work with financial services, technology and FMCG clients at Ipsos MORI, Research International and Datamonitor.

In a newly created role, Maggie will be focussing on developing client relationships and maintaining the fast rate of international expansion that Language Connect has achieved within the market research sector. In February this year, Language Connect announced it saw a doubling of its revenue in language services related to market research. That growth looks set to continue with several new top-tier agency clients partnering with the company in 2010.

Maggie will report to co-Founder and Managing Partner, Ben Taylor. Commenting on Maggie’s appointment, Ben said: “We see an increased demand for quality translations and fast turnaround of open-end coding in the MR industry. Demand is being driven by a number of factors that include a growing number of mixed methodology and online projects and an increasing interest from end clients in verbatim analytics. Agencies are also increasingly offering more targeted products that require specialised language services such as online B2B CRM or localised FMCG work.”

He added, “We’re delighted that Maggie is joining Language Connect. She has an impressive track record of managing mixed methodology international research studies in multiple countries which will be of great benefit to our clients.”
