Techneos today announced that King Brown Partners (KBP) selected its SODA Mobile Access Platform to power a study to understand US consumers’ needs, sentiments and expectations for key categories of mobile applications.

Utilizing SODA, KBP added new mobile engagement features to their research repertoire making use of photo capture, two-way messaging, and alarms.

Partnering with Techneos, KBP was equipped with a mobile survey solution deployed across BlackBerry devices for self-initiated one to two minute surveys over one and a half weeks.

The mobile survey allowed KBP to capture user experience insights and issues immediately after respondents had used apps on their BlackBerry. They were also able to pose a different set of questions to BlackBerry users at different time points throughout the 1.5 week period.

KBP found that social networking and entertainment apps pose the biggest issues for the app experience, and assessed the desirability of emerging and upcoming apps.

Techneos mobile research solutions equip our clients with social media capabilities, next generation mobile engagement features and the entire tool box to create and conduct multi-lingual wireless insight programs on a wide variety of mobile phones such as BlackBerry, Nokia, Android, Windows Mobile and other Java-enabled devices.
