Simpson Carpenter today announces that the agency is moving into healthcare and pharmaceutical research with the launch of a new division.

Heading up the new healthcare division will be career pharmaceutical market researcher Anna Sawka who joins from Aequus Research.

As Head of Healthcare Research at the agency, Anna will lead a team of specialist researchers and be responsible for spearheading Simpson Carpenter’s entry into the market.

Further appointments are planned for early 2011.
Previously Director at Aequus, Anna brings over 12 years’ worth of experience conducting pharmaceutical market research to Simpson Carpenter. Having worked for a number of pharmaceutical and biotech companies, Anna offers a huge breadth of expertise in conducting research throughout the entire product lifecycle.

In addition to assisting companies with tactical business issues such as communication platform development and testing, Anna has extensive experience in strategic market assessment projects for early development and pipeline products and is skilled at advising companies on the likely return on investment for new initiatives.

With the launch of a healthcare division, Simpson Carpenter will bring a more consumer centric focus to traditional pharmaceutical research.

Commenting on her appointment, Anna said,

The team will offer a full range of qualitative and quantitative methodologies together with capabilities for advanced analysis including conjoint and segmentation models.

In addition to providing a hotline to patients, Simpson Carpenter will draw on Anna’s extensive experience of working with opinion leaders,physicians,nurses, and hard-to-reach groups.
