The Global Market Information Database (GMID), the business information resource from Euromonitor International, was named "Best Business Information Product" at the International Information Industry Awards in London, beating a shortlist of entries from OneSource, Kompass, Dun & Bradstreet and ISI Emerging Markets.
"This is formal recognition of all of the hard work that goes into making GMID a ‘must have’ business reference product", says David Gudgin, Euromonitor International’s Sales and Marketing Director. "Euromonitor International is proud to have been recognised by industry peers and customers for the ease of use and quality of research available in GMID".
"The International Information Industry Awards reward excellence in the information field, and it is particularly gratifying to be able to honour both practitioners and the vendors of information products and services before such a large and prestigious international gathering," said Katherine Allen, Director of Information Division at VNU Exhibitions Europe. "The 'Best Business Information Product' category was hotly contested with some very high-quality entries. The judges were delighted to present the award to Euromonitor International for its Global Market Information Database. The judges were particularly impressed with GMID's breadth of content, its ease of use, and its powerful data analysis functions."
Jointly hosted by Online Information 2005 and Information World Review, the awards recognise the achievements of information teams, information and content management projects, vendors and individual information professionals.
