Management and Research Teams bolstered by respected and experienced research practitioners

Brand Driver, (www.branddriver.co.uk) the leading international research and strategy agency, is delighted to announce its expansion with the appointment of five new researchers.

The agency specialises in media, entertainment and leisure markets and the appointments are a response to increased demand across all sectors. Three new senior appointments will strengthen the management team as the company expands – Dr Suzanne King, Nick Rand and Martyn U’ren.

Dr. Suzanne King joins as Director, initially responsible for developing in-house systems to ensure expansion is not at the cost of quality, longer-term she will take over some of Brand Driver’s existing accounts.

Previously, she was a director at People Science & Policy (PSP), a consultancy she founded in 2000 specialising in social research, public and stakeholder engagement and evaluation. King has held successively senior positions with leading names that include The Wellcome Trust, RSL Market & Social Responsibility (now IPSOS MORI), Abbey National and The Department of Employment. Her work with schools adds a valuable perspective to Brand Driver’s kids’ expertise.

Nick Rand is Director responsible for all aspects of Brand Driver’s qualitative and business to business research across sectors and across markets. His expertise supports Brand Driver’s expansion into new territories, bringing cultural sensitivity to cross-country work. A highly skilled researcher, he brings 15 years of international experience as a strategic consultant, trends analyst and researcher to the existing management team. Previously Nick worked as a strategic consultant with the Future Foundation, The Henley Centre, Opinion Leader, BUPA and the COI.

Martyn U’Ren is appointed Director. He joins from News International where he spent five years as Insights manager in its Business Intelligence Department with overall responsibility for the company’s 25,000 reader panel. Before that he held media planning roles at The Evening Standard and PHD Media. At Brand Driver he will build on the company’s strengths in digital media, exploring new methodologies to ensure the business remains at the forefront of the industry.

Alan Worley joins as Associate Director. Formerly, he spent five years managing strategic consultancy projects with King at PSP drawing on both qualitative and quantitative methods. Worley honed his market research skills with roles at BMRB Social Research and NOP Social Research.

Emma Hazou joins the Brand Driver team as Senior Research Executive and is tasked with managing international research across all sectors and helping to develop new business. She was previously senior account executive at brand and communications research specialists Hall & Partners.

In welcoming the new appointments, Karen Wise, Managing Director says,
“The five people we are bringing into Brand Driver this summer will broaden our skills and resources and help move the company forward. Our clients in the media, entertainment and leisure industries are experiencing rapid change driven by new technologies and increased consumer choice and we feel confident that these new appointments bring the mix of experience, knowledge, creativity and enthusiasm to help keep us at the forefront of research in these fields. What’s more, we are not stopping here – we’ve already selected two graduate trainees who will join us in August.”
