Firm Leads Analyst Industry in Supply Chain Research and Products

Last week, executives from leading worldwide companies gathered for the first executive summit of AMR Research's Supply Chain Peer Forum. The new service provides the only opportunity for executives to meet and share best supply chain practices across industry. Discussion topics include driving dramatic improvement throughout supply networks and anticipating demand as opposed to relying on less than reliable forecasts. Through highly interactive peer-to-peer workshops, Webcasts, and teleconferences, AMR Research facilitates discussions and provides actionable advice and research to the group's cross-industry and cross-functional members.

The peer forum is built on the real-world experiences of members and enhanced by the understanding of the processes, technologies, and best practices that shape successful supply chain strategies provided by AMR Research analysts.

The first face-to-face meeting, which occurred at AMR Research's Supply Chain Executive Conference in Scottsdale, Arizona, brought together the founding members of the Supply Chain Peer Forum. To date, companies that have participated in the forum include:

Arrow Electronics
C&S Wholesale Grocers
The Department of Defense
The Gillette Company
Kraft Foods
The Limited
Office Depot

"Supply chain operating models are rapidly changing to become more customer focused and to increasingly leverage information to improve company profitability and competitiveness," said Paul Katz, VP of Global Supply Chain at Arrow Electronics. "AMR Research is helping supply chain executives learn from each other and reap the benefits of these and other new approaches. Their new Supply Chain Peer Forum provides valuable insight for executives as they work together with their customers and suppliers to develop best-in-class supply chains."

AMR Research's peer forum members take advantage of annual peer group face-to-face forum meetings, regular Webcasts and teleconferences, ongoing community interaction through e-mail or teleconference, advice from AMR Research analysts, and access to a client resource center.
AMR Research is still accepting members for its interactive forum services. For more information on these opportunities, please call (617) 542-6600 or visit
