Ranks 11th Among Prestigious 100 ‘Up-and-Coming’ Privately-Held Companies

uSamp (www.usamp.com ), a leader in providing targeted audiences for global consumer insights and innovative SaaS technologies for audience engagement and business intelligence,  announced today that it has been ranked among the top 20 companies on the prestigious Forbes Magazine List of America’s Most Promising Companies.

Forbes‘ list of America’s Most Promising Companies features 100 privately held up-and-comers with compelling business models, strong management teams, notable customers, strategic partners and investment capital.  uSamp placed 11th on the list.

“Sizing up younger, privately held companies is hard: their fortunes can change very quickly and there’s a dearth of public data,” said Forbes Executive Editor Brett Nelson. “We took a more comprehensive approach to evaluate their health and potential.”

To sharpen its search, Forbes teamed up with CB Insights, a Manhattan-based data firm that tracks investment in high-growth private companies. With $650,000 in grants from the National Science Foundation, CB has developed complex software called Mosaic that mines myriad online sources -- from news releases and social networks to job boards and court filings -- to come up with one, algorithmically derived score that measures a private company’s health. Forbes married Mosaic’s data-crunching with old-fashioned reporting to assemble a list of rising stars with bright growth prospects.  To view the complete the list, please visit www.forbes.com/ampc.

“We are humbled to be among the companies Forbes deems the most promising in the country,” said uSamp co-founder and CEO Matt Dusig.  “We’ve built our business on the principles of excellence – recruiting the best team, cultivating customer loyalty and building innovative new technology.”

Added Gregg Lavin, uSamp co-founder and President,
“this recognition from an organization of Forbes’ stature is extremely gratifying, and a validation of the unwavering commitment to our customers that we’ve had from the beginning.  As we continue to marry cutting-edge technology with real-world experience and a spirit of innovation, uSamp intends to keep delivering on the promise, for our current clients and for a host of new markets.”

uSamp has developed a diverse product portfolio of powerful, self-serve, technology-enabled tools that set it apart in the industry.  Its suite of online survey solutions are expanding the market for market research as well as enabling a broad array of business clients to make better, more insightful decisions.
