Echo Research, a leading international reputation analysis and communications research firm, was acquired by Ebiquity plc, the independent media and marketing performance measurement business, in May 2011. Sandra has led the successful integration of Echo Research into the Ebiquity Group, the completion of which now sees the Company with a broadened portfolio of skills and capabilities in paid, owned and earned media communications.

Echo Research's name also goes, as the international team's full-service research offerings are rebranded as Ebiquity from 1 July 2013.

Macleod founded Echo Research in 1999 as a full-service research firm, once she relinquished the CARMA International media analysis franchise in Europe which she originally set up in 1989. As one of the founders of the trade body, AMEC, the Association of Measurement and Evaluation Companies, Macleod has focused her efforts on increasing the evidence-based counsel and professionalism of the PR industry. During this time, Echo won over 89 industry awards for innovation and excellence in research.

Sandra Macleod, previously Group CEO of Echo Research, will leave the firm at the end of June 2013 and plans to continue to advise boards and executives on  their approach to reputation management, drawing upon Ebiquity's range of services where additional research and data-driven insights are required.

"As demands and expectations on organisations are changing rapidly, reputation is clearly moving up the corporate agenda. I see a growing need for senior-level counsel on such matters which are material to organisational success, which my experience makes me well placed to support," said Macleod.

Michael Greenlees, Chief Executive of Ebiquity said: "Sandra has every reason to be proud of the company she created. She has spearheaded the reputation research business, and served her clients, team members, and partners with tremendous energy and dedication over the past 24 years. We are grateful for her ambitious and thoughtful leadership. The relationship we have put in place enables Sandra to continue to contribute her knowledge and experience to further the growth of Ebiquity's insights across the earned, owned and paid marketing communications landscape."
