Insight consultancy, FreshMinds, has appointed Andy Maher as Chief Operating Officer. Andy will be responsible for running the operations side of the business and joins FreshMinds after almost nine years at Omnicom. Andy has worked in multiple roles across the group including as Finance and Operations Director for creative agency, RAPP. More recently, he was COO for Interbrand Asia, where he managed 8 offices and over 400 staff.
Commenting on the move, Andy said: “I’m honoured to be joining FreshMinds. Via their partnerships with some of the world’s best and most valued brands, it’s clear that the business is already well respected, is stocked with smart and innovative people and has a strong management team. I hope to be able to leverage my experience in order to enhance the growth of FreshMinds and its value to our clients.”
Andy is not the only new face join to the senior FreshMinds team. Su Gill joins as Finance Manager, bringing 10 years’ experience as Finance Manager at TNS. FreshMinds is also strengthening its team of insight specialists, data analysts and digital strategists. Natasha Wallace joins as a Senior Consultant in March, bringing a wealth of expertise in digital research from her previous role as Associate Director at Tuned In. Catherine Caporn has been appointed as a Director, having spent four years at Millward Brown as Senior Client Director, working with brands to optimise digital marketing strategies and drive business growth.
This marks an exciting period of growth for FreshMinds. Since merging with their sister company, FreshNetworks, last October, the company has gone from strength to strength, including gaining recognition with a Market Research Society award win in December. FreshMinds’ CEO Caroline Plumb commented, “I’m delighted to be welcoming so many talented individuals to the business. We’re really excited to see them drive growth, not just for FreshMinds but for our global clients too.”
