Global research consultancy TNS, part of Kantar, today announces the appointment of Will Galgey as CEO for TNS UK from mid-January 2015. Will currently serves as CEO for Kantar sister company The Futures Company, a global strategic insight and innovation consultancy. He will report into TNS Global CEO, Richard Ingleton, and have overall responsibility for the strategy, culture and performance of the TNS UK business.

On the same day, TNS also announces the appointment of Michelle Harrison to the role of Global Head of Political and Social from January 2015. Michelle is the current CEO of social research agency, TNS BMRB. She will use her experience to build upon the existing strength of the Political and Social practice in European markets and extend the business into emerging democratic markets worldwide.
Commenting on the appointments, Richard Ingleton, Global CEO of TNS said: “Our future depends upon our ability to bring great research solutions to our clients.  We have a real focus on where we are going and want to have leaders in our business who live to be with clients.”

“Will brings a wealth of experience to the role of CEO for TNS UK, having joined WPP 17 years ago. Over the course of his tenure he has served on the Kantar Operating Board and as Global CEO of The Futures Company, positioning him perfectly for the TNS UK CEO role. He will undoubtedly make a tremendous impact to our clients and create new sources of competitive distinction to help facilitate their growth.”

“Michelle’s extensive experience and proven track record with TNS BMRB make her the ideal candidate for the role of Global Head of our Political and Social business. I have every confidence that she will lead this practice towards a new phase of growth and secure TNS’ position as the number one advisor to decision makers and governments around the world.”
