Leading independent agency Firefish are pleased to announce the hire of Steve Banks as Qualitative Director to strengthen its financial services offering. With 13 years in the industry, Steve joins from 5 years at Jigsaw Research, working across a diverse range of financial services clients. Prior to his time at Jigsaw, Steve worked at M&C Saatchi-owned marketing strategy consultancy, Clear Ideas for 2 years and, before that, was at Illuminas for 5 years, working on clients as diverse as the Open University, Samsung, Quorn and Santander.
Steve has a real passion for financial services brands, believing that having the customer at the heart of what they do is vital to their future success. He comments:
“As we all get a little older, our needs change and so do people’s opinions. It is no longer true that we stick with the same bank or insurance company that our parents may have used. With account switching easier, and access to more personally relevant information available, financial services brands need to ensure that they have a deep understanding of people and what it is they want. Without it, they can’t increase loyalty or create new products and services that meaningfully fit in with their lives”.
