Full service market research agency, DJS Research Ltd, has been selected to conduct a market research project on behalf of the Welsh Rugby Union (WRU).

The research involves considerable interaction with individuals across the entire spectrum of Welsh rugby – including both professional and amateur players – with a view to having a lasting impact on the development of Rugby in Wales. It’s something we’re all very excited about.”
 

This project for the Welsh Rugby Union is the latest in a string of high profile client wins in the sport sector – including Sport England, and a range of private sector entities comprising several Barclays Premier League football clubs, a leading women’s football club, an online yoga provider and a major running shoes manufacturer.
 
As part of the study for the WRU, DJS Research will engage with both rugby union players and non-players in order to understand how the WRU can increase participation in rugby with a view to growing the number of people playing rugby in Wales in the longer term.
 
Speaking about the research partnership, Jason Lewis, National Rugby Development Manager at the WRU, had the following to say:

We are very pleased to be working with Danny and the team on this project, and look forward to working the results of the study in to our national strategy for further developing the uptake of rugby in Wales.”
 
The project will utilise qualitative and quantitative techniques to provide WRU with both in-depth feedback, as well as an evidence based recipe for success moving forward.
