Recent graduates

76% of all recent graduates are in full-time employment, compared to 48% of non graduates (22-30).

Around two-thirds are buying their house. They are also 129% more likely than the average adult to rent a non-council property.

They are twice as likely as the average adult to go the cinema at least once a month. They are 85% more likely than 22 to 30-year old non graduates to choose “period dramas” as their favourite film genre.

Two-thirds of recent graduates watch less than 20 hours of television a week and half listen to the radio no more than 10 1/2 hours a week.

On average, their total household income is £6,000 more a year than the average adult.

However, they are almost one and a half times more likely than the average adult to have a bank overdraft.

Recent graduates are one and a half times more likely than the average adult to claim to have seen advertising on the Underground in the past week, and are twice as likely to have seen it on the outside of phone boxes.

They are almost four times as likely than the average adult to spent 30+ hours on the internet per month and also four times as likely as 22 to 30-yearold non graduates.
