TNS REGIONAL DIRECTOR MEIJER ACCEPTS LATIN AMERICAN POSITION

London, UK 11 August  2006: TNS Regional Director for East Asia, Wander Meijer, has confirmed his acceptance of the position as TNS Regional Director for Latin America, with immediate effect.  Wander will have reporting responsibility for Latin America (Latam) but will transition over the coming months and be fully relocated in Buenos Aires by January 2007.

Commenting on Wander’s appointment, TNS Regional Managing Director James Hall said, “We are very fortunate to have Wander accept this role as he will bring considerable TNS knowledge to the position along with extremely strong operational skills and regional business knowledge to the Latam sub-region. I’m confident that his experience will be a great asset in helping Latin America to emerge in its own right.”

Wander’s years with TNS in Asia have seen him grow the Hong Kong office into one of TNS’ most successful operations in the region. He has also been responsible for developing the Group’s International Research Centre, International Calling Centre and 6thdimension online panel hub for Asia Pacific as well managing the company’s two regional business centres: Hong Kong and Singapore.

No stranger to Latin America, Meijier graduated in social research with Latin America as specialisation and conducted his doctoral thesis in Bolivia after studying Spanish at the University of Salamanca, Spain.
