TNS Vietnam Launches Tech Team PDF Print E-mail

Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, 19th October 2006… Leading market information company, TNS today announced the expansion of its Asia Pacific network of technology sector researchers with the launch of the company’s dedicated technology team in Vietnam.

The new addition of a specialist team in Vietnam reflects the rapid rate of adoption and penetration of new technologies – especially telecoms, across emerging markets in the region. Spearheaded by TNS Vietnam Managing Director Ralf Matthaes and supported by Technology Sector Head Hong Nguyen and Sector Champion, Lester Sualog, the team becomes TNS Technology’s 10th in Asia.

To mark the launch, TNS Vietnam staged a round table forum attended by the country’s premier telecoms & technology venders, suppliers and manufacturers. Hosted by TNS Asia Pacific’s Regional Director Technology, Mr. James Fergusson, the event saw industry experts provide an update on present trends in Vietnam’s telecoms and technology markets and preview what the future holds for these sectors, from a consumer perspective.

Adds Ralf Matthaes, TNS Vietnam Managing Director, “With mobile phone penetration reaching over 50% in urban Vietnam and the penetration of In-home internet usage reaching 1 of every 5 homes in Vietnam’s 4 major cities, client demand has increased dramatically parallel to the growth we have seen in the Vietnamese market. I have little doubt that the team will be kept very busy.”
