Market Research Interviewers, as explained by DJS Research Ltd.

Market research interviewers work in support of the market research agency, often using questionnaires and surveys to record the results they obtain. Interviewers will talk to people about a wide range of subjects and the discussion would normally take place in the street, in homes, on the phone or in specially enlisted groups.

Most work that interviewers will receive will have been commissioned by businesses, government organisations, charities, or opinion polls. A brief from the client organisation would be delivered to the market research agency in order for the agency to completely understand what the client is looking to gain from the study. Following this brief the company would then design the questionnaire, which the interviews would receive after a briefing from the agency. Interviewers would then carry out and return the surveys to the agency - normally for analysis.

Interviews within a home are often prolonged and therefore the interviewer needs to be able to persuade an interviewee to take part. Furthermore, when outdoors an interviewer may need to spend long periods of time on their feet and as such must be able to manage in such a situation.
