The Government has recently re-organised the way it funds suppot services for those who need help to live independently. The intensity of these services can vary from simple warden operations to more tailored support for those with complex needs.
The Supporting People programme was designed to bring funding under tighter control, and to encourage better fit between needs and services. BMRB interviewed 3,617 service recipients to find out what they thought of the services before the new funding programme was operational. ?
