A full news release will accompany the publication of the Spring Financial Activity Bulletin on April 12th.

• The Financial activity bulletin is based on consumers’ responses to a question on their expected savings, investment and borrowing activity across 18 categories in the next 6 months.
• Since its launch in March 2002 it has provided a good indicator of  product demand.
• A second question tracks the market share of the UK's main financial services providers and the expected activity of their customers.
• Index numbers are based on a 2-quarter moving average (Q3/Q4 2002=100)
