Freelance rate/hour 16 Years, 1 Month ago
Hi All, I am a new member in this forum. I have more than 2 years of experience in Healthcare Market Research industry in India on a full time basis. I am currently based in UK & would like to work as a free lancer on content analysis & report writing in the same sector. Can somebody advice me with the rate in UK?

The best way to find out the rate for a given job title is to call a company that deals with payroll processing. For example, I once did some work in Detroit and wanted to get an idea of what web designers make there. So I called a Detroit payroll processing company and they gave me the average rate. I used that to price my serviced competitively.

Don't forget that if you're going to be self-employed you need to consider any additional taxes or NI contributions. Maybe look at a few job boards to find what the market rate is in your area (and if you feel like a small goodwill gesture offering yourself for slightly lower than this)
