Market Research career: from Academia to Agency 15 Years, 9 Months ago

Hi all,
I find this forum very useful and I would appreciate your advise as an expert in this industry. I am quite new in the market research industry and I am having hard time in finding a job as a market researcher (agency or client side).
After my MSc in Management in Italy:
> I started my work experience writing a business plan for a small start up company (in Italy) and an academic industry research of six months in Cambridge
> After that I got an grant for a course in Entrepreneurship and an internship as a market researcher in California
> Now I am working on a small entrepreneurial project doing market research
All this experience are quite short as could be a research project. Although my background, I am struggling in finding a job in UK.
What would you suggest or advise in order to enhance my chance to succeed in my job search?
I would really appreciate your help.
